This is a broad release: eighteen improvements across the platform, including one new feature that cuts a serious amount of chasing out of every matter.
Everything below is live now. There's nothing to switch on.
Ask clients for exactly the documents you need
Until now, if you needed particular documents from a client, the only option was a general request for "additional documents" and a hope that the right things came back. Then the chasing emails started.
You can now name exactly what you need when you issue the matter. Each request is shown to the client with your own explanation of why it's needed, and Livesign tracks which requests are still outstanding.
What this means in practice: clients know what's expected of them the first time, you can see at a glance what's still missing, and there are far fewer chasing emails on both sides.
AML and customer due diligence · 5 improvements
- PEP and sanctions screening now shows you every possible match. Rather than the system deciding for itself which matches are real, every candidate is reported and labelled with how closely it matches your client on name and date of birth. The judgement stays with your firm, where your policy says it belongs.
- Finalise CDD is now correctly disabled after escalation. When a review is escalated to a senior manager, the Finalise button no longer appears active to compliance officers and conveyancers, so it's clear who owns the next step.
- Matters now close properly when all identity checks are rejected. Rejecting the identity check for every party moves the matter to Not Proceeding, instead of leaving it in your list looking like outstanding work.
- The AML Risk Assessment Report is always in the download pack. The completion notification was occasionally sent a moment before the report finished generating, which could leave it missing.
- A duplicate-party warning meant for your firm is no longer shown to clients. The warning appeared on the client's own device, asked them to do something they can't do, and displayed another party's name and email address.
Identity verification and the client app · 6 improvements
- Passports with a verified chip no longer raise false tamper warnings. Reading and verifying a passport's digitally signed chip is the strongest available proof a document is genuine. The review screen no longer contradicts that with a possible-forgery flag, so you only investigate the documents that genuinely warrant it.
- Misread dates of birth can now be corrected. Previously a wrong value read from an ID kept reappearing in the report even after being updated — in one case a passport was misread as a birth year of 2027 instead of 1927, and the client couldn't continue.
- Blue and yellow Medicare cards now accept the right expiry format. The app previously only accepted the green-card format.
- Android document scanning zoom fixed. On some handsets the camera zoomed in too far when photographing an ID, making the document hard to capture.
- Better experience on iPad and Android tablets. Rotating an Android tablet previously restarted the app and sent the client back to the beginning.
- In-app help now links to the correct page.
Reverification and reliance · 2 improvements
- Choose the right person when one email address matches several. Reverification finds a prior identity check by email address. Where more than one verified person sits behind the same address — a firm using its own address for in-person checks, or two family members sharing one — you can now pick the correct match rather than getting the wrong record.
- Remove a relying party yourself. If you share a matter with the wrong partner firm, you can now remove them without contacting support.
Notifications and account security · 2 improvements
- Security change alerts. You're emailed whenever your account's security settings change — an MFA reset, a changed enrolled phone number, or a switch of two-factor method. Each email says what changed and when, and how to reach us if it wasn't you.
- Client name in email subject lines. Alert emails to customers and conveyancers now name the client in the subject, so you can tell at a glance which matter an update relates to.
Everyday usability · 2 improvements
- Mobile number entry is more forgiving. The field now accepts the formats people reasonably type, and tells you what's expected up front instead of just saying the number is invalid.
- Company searches that never return are now visible. On the rare occasion a search provider doesn't return a result, the matter no longer stalls silently — you can see the order didn't complete.
